Pastor Greg Mathis

A native of Boonville, NC, Greg is passionate about the health of the local church. He has served churches in different capacities since 2011 and holds a B.A. from North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC as well as the Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. He is currently pursuing a PhD from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He has been recognized as a Certified Biblical Counselor by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. He enjoys reading, golfing, playing with his boys, traveling, and being outdoors. He writes for the benefit of others - and to satisfy his own

writing habit - on his blog.



Greg is married to Whitney and together they have three boys, Coram, Judah, and Barrett. 

Both raised in the foothills of North Carolina, they have served churches together for the entirety of their marriage. Along with their spirited Welsh Terrier, Lottie, the Mathises enjoy life in Trenton. Whitney loves ladies ministry and is a gifted mother and teacher. The family views their ministry at Trenton Baptist Church as a team effort.

Dawn Sharp

Worship Ministry Leader

Dawn has served here as the music and worship leader since 2011. She is a music educator (retired) by profession and has served bi-vocationally in churches throughout her life. She grew up in Trenton Baptist Church where she was saved and began her walk with Christ at age 9. It was here that she had her first experiences with serving in church music as she learned to love singing/playing hymns, singing in the choir, and developing her skills as a pianist, organist, and accompanist. Dawn graduated from Todd County Central High School then moved to Nashville to attend Belmont College where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with choral certification and applied emphasis in piano performance. She has taught high school choral music in Indiana, elementary music in Florida, Fort Campbell KY, and for 27 years at South Todd Elementary School. Dawn earned her Master’s Degree in Education at Austin Peay State University and a Rank I as a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Music. As a worship leader, Dawn has a passion for actively involving the congregation in worship through singing hymns and songs that are solidly grounded in scripture and that proclaim the truth of the gospel.

Nathan Workman

Director of Families and Discipleship

Nathan was born and raised in Hopkinsville KY. He has worked for many years in the field of agriculture in and around Todd County. He has served in the local church as a Bible teacher and deacon. Nathan loves the local church and has felt called into vocational ministry. He has a B.S in Biology from Murray State University. Nathan loves to hunt, fish, and spend some time in a tractor. He also loves spending time with his wife and daughter.


Nathan is married to Tori and God has blessed them with a precious little girl, Selah Grace. Tori was born and raised in West Tennessee. She is a wonderful mother and a supportive wife. She and Nathan have been serving the local church throughout their marriage. Together their goal is to glorify God in all things.
